Abstract
Small molecule organic solar cells based on copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) and bulkfullerene (C60) are fabricated with a PEDOT:PSS/LiF double anode buffer layer system that utilizes benefits of both a single LiF anode buffer layer and a single PEDOT:PSS buffer layer. Moreover, the performances of the cells are further improved. Meanwhile, this anode buffer layer system overcomes the stability shortages of the cells with a single anode buffer layer. The mechanisms of this anode buffer layer system are discussed. An MIS model is used here to explain enhancement of both photovoltaic characteristics and the stability.
