Abstract
► This article focused on the phenomenon of tip damage in the automatic manipulation. ► The Coarse-Grained Molecular Dynamics (CGMDs) method has been used. ► A new criterion as root mean squares (RMSs) changes of position is used. ► Damaging effects of tip are predicted and positioning errors are estimated. ► Predictions are performed for automatic nanomanipulation scheme successfully.
