Abstract
⺠We predict strength of intercalated epoxy-clay nanocomposites. ⺠We examine the effects of gallery failure and interfacial debonding. ⺠Gallery failure is a possible cause of nanocomposite strength reduction. ⺠Morphology and nanoclay functionalisation affect the nanocomposite strength.
