Abstract
⺠Two-phase glass-andalusite samples have been prepared by cold uniaxial pressing. ⺠Interfacial contact is perfect and oriented cracks are located inside inclusions. ⺠Young's modulus vs. temperature depends on the size of andalusite aggregates. ⺠Numerical stress distribution is affected by anisotropic properties of inclusions. ⺠Numerical and experimental results in terms of Young's modulus are in good agreement.
