Abstract
⺠Surface and small scale effects are taken into account to study wave propagation in nanotubes. ⺠The flexural wavenumbers with surface effects are high as compared to that without surface effects. ⺠With consideration of surface effects the flexural wavenumbers are showing a compressive nature. ⺠A anodic alumina nanotube with crystallographic of ã1 1 1ã direction are considered for the analysis.
