Abstract
⺠Dendrite growth law with a facility for solute definition at a finite distance ahead of the tip. ⺠A dendrite growth model with a distinction between global and local undercooling at the tip. ⺠The aspect ratio of the dendrite is included. ⺠Demonstration using experimental synchrotron X-ray sequences for an Al-Ge alloy. ⺠A useful tool for investigating solidification during synchrotron radiography tests.
