Abstract
Densely stacked graphene/MnO architecture has been prepared by thermal treatment of MnO2-intercalated graphite oxide. The obtained electrode displays ultra-high gravimetric/volumetric capacities (1000 mA h gâ1/2288 mA h cmâ3 at 0.1 A gâ1), excellent rate capability (270 mA h gâ1/618 mA h cmâ3 at 8.0 A gâ1), ultra-low volume expansion (18%) and outstanding cycling performance (118% of capacity retention after 300 cycles).110
