Abstract
Defect-engineered graphene conformal coating is in-situ grown on manganese oxides through an ingenious methane-carburization-mediated chemical vapor deposition strategy. The thus-grown ultrathin graphene layers exhibit highly tunable crystalline quality and defect density for optimizing charge transport for the hermetically-isolated MnO anode materials from electrolyte. In turn, the graphene shell-isolated MnO anode manifests the enhanced stability and high performance in rate capability.343
