Abstract

In this study, warp-knitted fabrics were fabricated with polyester-textured filaments and polyester-textured filaments with Y-cross section, which had hygroscopicity and permeability. Effect of percentages of the functional polyester-textured filaments on the hygroscopicity, permeability, handle, and air permeability of the warp-knitted fabrics was discussed. The results show that when percentages of the functional polyester-textured filaments were from 0 to 100%, the FUKURAMI (fullness handle) of the warp-knitted fabrics increased about 2.83. However, at this time, the KOSHI (hard handle), SHARI (brittle handle), and HARI (drooping resistance) of the fabrics decreased about 3.65, 1.66, and 1.40, respectively.
