Abstract
A novel elasticity–damping composite laminate has been developed by explosive welding of Cu–Al–Ni–Mn–Ti alloy and QBe2 alloy. The internal friction of the composite laminate is about 18 × 10−3 below 125 °C and reaches maximum of 30 × 10−3 at about 125 °C. The damping behavior of the composite laminate shows obvious amplitude-dependent effect as the amplitude is more than 1 × 10−4, and frequency-independent effect.
