Abstract
Anomalous small angle scattering (ASAXS) is a powerful non-destructive technique that can provide characteristic features of nanoscale precipitates such as the volume fraction, and chemical composition. In this paper, the technique is used for the first time to explore nanoscale MN nitrides (MÂ =Â Cr,Fe) after nitriding of a model iron alloy (Fe-0.354Â wt% C-2.93Â wt% Cr).
