Abstract
In this study, relaxation dynamics of Zr44Cu40Al8Ag8 Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG) have been studied using mechanical spectroscopy. This alloy has manifested a clear signature of slow β relaxation process below the glass transition temperature. The activation energy and the size of STZ could be determined using mechanical spectroscopy. In addition, two glass transition processes competing in the supercooled liquid region are observed along with β relaxation process. The possible mechanism for the relaxation processes has been discussed.
