Abstract
⺠Al projectile tribomaterial deposition was observed onto Cu conducting rails in experimental railgun system. ⺠Extreme deformation was observed at the Al/Cu interface by DRX leads to erosion-product deposition. ⺠Creation of nanograins created by DRX allows for mixing at the Al/Cu interface. ⺠No evidence of traditional alloying between Al/Cu observed.
