Abstract
⺠AlSiMnFe alloy was formed by ECAP with partial back pressure (up to 3 passes). ⺠Heat treatment of the alloy caused precipitation of finer particles. ⺠The minimum grain sizes (â¼500 nm) were obtained after 3 passages. ⺠The strength of quenched samples increased with increasing number of passes. ⺠Presence of particles in matrix caused cracks initiation and subsequent failure.
