Abstract
The structural and magnetic properties of Pr1-xLaxMnO3 (0â¯â¤â¯xâ¯â¤â¯1) polycrystalline powders are investigated. A structural phase transition from a large Jahn-Teller (J-T) distorted orthorhombic structure to a small J-T distorted orthorhombic phase is found at xâ¯=â¯0.70, while the LaMnO3 is showed to have a rhombohedral structure. All the samples exhibit ferromagnetic ordering, and meanwhile, a reentrant spin glass behavior at low temperature. The relationship between J-T distortions and the ferromagnetic order is discussed.
