Abstract
A forward-simulation method for diffusivity extraction was developed and tested using eight binary systems (Fe-Ni, Co-Ni, Nb-W, Ni-W, Ni-Mo, Co-Mo, Fe-Nb and Ni-Nb). The results show that it can reliably extraction interdiffusion coefficients as a function of composition and also the impurity diffusion coefficients. The successful diffusivity extraction from several complicated composition profiles with several intermetallic compounds demonstrates the reliability and robustness of the program.
