Abstract
⺠The effect of combined use of ultrasonic vibration and P addition on the refinement of primary Si was investigated. ⺠The effects of ultrasonic vibration and manganese on the morphology of Fe-containing intermetallic compounds were studied. ⺠The mechanical properties at both room and elevated temperature were tested. ⺠The effect of heat treatment on the Fe-containing intermetallic compounds was performed.
