Abstract
⺠We have synthesized solid solutions of the form Yb1âxScxAl3 for 0 â¤Â x â¤Â 1. ⺠Solid solutions show an increase in the thermoelectric power factor. âºÂ Lattice thermal conductivity is decreased strongly upon alloying. ⺠Thermoelectric figure of merit of alloys is increased by 30% over pure YbAl3.
