Abstract
The effect of milling time on the shape of primary magnetization curves of nanocomposite Nd2Fe14B + α-Fe magnets produced with the use of the mechanical alloying method was studied. It was pointed out that nucleation and growth of opposite magnetization domains were a pre-dominating coercivity mechanism in nanocomposite Nd2Fe14B + α-Fe magnets. Furthermore, it was found that as milling times become longer, a kink occurred upon primary magnetization curves, which proved to the fact that the domain wall pinning mechanism occurred in the magnets studied.
