Abstract
⺠Severe plastic deformation of iron aluminide is achieved by high temperature forging. ⺠Second phases are broken into finer, more homogeneously distributed particles. ⺠Refinement of second phase particles is easiest for initially elongated morphology. ⺠Good mechanical behaviour is expected from the fine and uniform material obtained.
