Abstract
⺠Interface of Al/Mg couples prepared by compound casting consists of three layers. ⺠Al3Mg2 and Al12Mg17 intermetallic compounds are main constituents of the interface. ⺠A network of antiphase domains is formed in the Al12Mg17 intermetallic compound. ⺠The size of antiphase domains is dependent on deviation from stoichiometric proportion.
