Abstract
Microstructures and mechanical properties of the TiFeCuC alloys are studied by adding The Fe96.8C3.2 (at. %) master alloy to the 5 at. % Cu containing titanium alloys. The microstructures and the mechanical properties are closely correlated with the content of the Fe96.8C3.2 master alloy. The TiFeCuC alloys show high strength and good ductility upon compressive test. The hypereutectic alloy Ti70(Fe96.8C3.2)25Cu5 presents the yield strength of 1962 MPa, the strain of 10.14% and the young's modulus of 166.6 GPa. The Ti85(Fe96.8C3.2)10Cu5 alloy presents the yield strength of 1108 MPa,the strain of 35.30% and young's modulus of 66.8 GPa.
