Abstract
⺠We propose an efficient numerical limit analysis of hollow oblate spheroids which provides upper and lower bounds of the macroscopic yield surfaces. ⺠We assess existing models for anisotropic ductile porous media. ⺠It is demonstrated that the Gologanu et al. (1997) model constitutes a very accurate approximation of the macroscopic yield surface.
