Abstract
Mg2TiO4 ceramics were prepared with MgO and TiO2 by high energy ball milling method. Highly reactive nanosized Mg2TiO4 powders were successfully synthesized at 1000 °C in oxygen atmosphere for milled 30 h, about 200 °C lower than that by a conventional solid-state reaction process. The pure Mg2TiO4 nanopowders average particle size were reduced to about 163 nm. Mg2TiO4 ceramics at 1175 °C had the excellent microwave dielectric properties Éγ = 13.9, Q Ã f = 98,600 GHz, Ïf = â50.9 ppm/°C.
