Abstract
Physical properties of PrAg2Si2, crystallizing in the tetragonal ThCr2Si2-type crystal structure, was investigated by means of magnetic, calorimetric and electrical transport measurements. The compound was found to order magnetically below 14Â K, and exhibit two subsequent order-order magnetic phase transitions at 11.5Â K and 8Â K. The low-temperature magnetic structure encloses a substantial ferromagnetic component but the exact nature of the different spin arrangements in PrAg2Si2 remains unclear. The compound is a good metallic conductor.
