Abstract
⺠The fusion enthalpy of Cu-Ge alloys in the whole composition range is measured. ⺠The undercoolability of Cu-Ge alloys depends on nucleation ability of primary phases. ⺠The intermetallic compounds ξ, ε and ε1 display non-faceted growth mode. ⺠Cu-Ge peritectic microstructures are composed of both primary and peritectic phases.
