Abstract
⺠A TiB whiskers array was in situ synthesized on ZrB2-SiC interface during brazing. ⺠Produced AgCu4Zr and sufficient Ti promoted dissolving of ZrB2. ⺠A gradient joint of TiB whiskers array/AgCu4Zr + TiCu/Ag is fabricated. ⺠Severe reaction between SiC and Ti led to an “anchor structure”. ⺠Pull-out mechanism and fracture deflection of TiB whiskers improved joint fracture toughness.
