Abstract
⺠The first study to prepare bulk nanocrystalline AZ31 magnesium alloy by hot pressing. ⺠The grain growth behavior can be well interpreted by the kinetic equation, D5âD05=kt, where k = k0e(âEg/RT). ⺠The activation energy Eg was figured out to be 110 kJ/mol, which is about 18 kJ/mol higher than as-cast pure magnesium.
