Abstract
⺠A review focused on the diffusion coatings for magnesium and its alloys. ⺠Diffusion coatings can improve both hardness and resistance to corrosion and wear. ⺠The coating process-structure-property relationship is discussed. ⺠Future work concerning the diffusion coatings on Mg alloys is suggested.
