Abstract
We report the structural, optical and electrochromic properties of mixed Nb2O5:MoO3 (95:5, 90:10, and 85:15) thin films prepared by RF magnetron sputtering technique on fluorine doped tin oxide coated glass substrate. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals the amorphous nature of films. From the optical measurement, a blue shift of energy band gap was observed for Nb2O5:MoO3 films with increasing MoO3 concentration. The electrochromic study showed that all the films have good coloration-bleaching kinetics. The maximum coloration efficiency of 2.303â¯mm2/C was obtained for the Nb2O5:MoO3 (85:15) film.
