Abstract
Simulation of the particle segregation phenomenon observed in pipe flows of solid particle/liquid dispersions is carried out using a two fluid model of dilute fully developed flow. Both analytical and numerical results are reported and a new shear lift model is proposed which is capable of predicting a variety of observed phenomena.
