Abstract
A potentiodynamic polymerization method is put forward to prepared fiber-shaped poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) with the assist of surfactant. The as-prepared PEDOT fiber electrodes yield an impressive specific capacitance of 184.5 F g−1, achieving 87.9% of theoretical specific capacitance of PEDOT. Correspondingly the formation mechanism of PEDOT fibers obtained by this simple and efficient method is analyzed.
