Abstract
Nano-silicon/graphene composites were synthesized directly from silicon and graphite mixture as the raw materials with one-step process under atmospheric pressure by thermal plasma approach. The prepared silicon nanoparticles nucleated and growth on the surface of graphene sheets. Characterization results revealed that mean size of silicon nanoparticles was around 28â¯nm, the graphene sheets were large in size and contain few layers, and the composites are formed via bonds between silicon and carbon.
