Abstract
Cu2O nanowires array were successfully fabricated on Cu substrate by anodic oxidation method. The prominent (1 1 1) peak revealed by X-ray diffraction confirmed the one-dimensional growth trend of Cu2O nanowires. Scanning electron microscopy images indicated that the fabricated Cu2O nanowires almost vertical growth on the substrate. The average length of Cu2O nanowires is about 12 μm. These nanowires were arranged neatly to form compact nanowires array. Furthermore, the photoelectric output properties of Cu2O nanowires array as a photoelectrode was investigated.
