Abstract
The manganese oxide on in-situ exfoliated graphite has been fabricated by two-step process including anodic exfoliating and anodic depositing for solid state rechargeable Zn-oxygen battery, which exhibits high open circuit voltage and long cycle life. The morphology, phase composition, chemical composition and real surface area of the electrode in preparation process of manganese oxide on in-situ exfoliated graphite has been also characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and chronoamperometric. The charge-discharge cycling test has shown superior rechargeability for solid state Zn-oxygen battery. This work suggests that such a nanocomposite electrode offers promise for portable electronics.
