Abstract
Multiferroic Bi0.9Er0.1Fe1âxCoxO3 (BEFCxO) films have been deposited on FTO substrates by chemical solution deposition method (CSD). The influences of co-doping on structure and multiferroic properties have been investigated. The results indicate that there is a structural transformation from rhombohedral-R3c:H to triclinic-P1 with co-doping. The superior multiferroic properties (Ms~17.08 emu/cm3, Mr~6.35 emu/cm3 and Pr~80.77 μC/cm2) are obtained in BEFC0.02O film. The enhanced multiferroic property is mainly attributed to the rhombohedral (35%)/triclinic (65%) morphotropic phase boundary (MPB), Fe3+-O2â-Co3+ magnetic coupling and the preferred orientations of (110) crystal plane.
