Abstract
An elastoplastic damage model is proposed for cement-based material is unsaturated condition. A generalized effective stress concept is used for poroplastic coupling. Damage by microcracks is coupled with plastic deformation. The proposed model is applied to a mortar in triaxial compression tests with different degrees of saturation. The mechanical response of a concrete beam in different saturation conditions is also analyzed using the proposed model. The model’s predictions are in close agreement with experimental data.
