Abstract
Novel MoO3-TiO2 composite nanorods films have been successfully prepared by the combination of hydrothermal and electrodeposition method. The composite films show remarkable enhancement of the electrochromic properties. In particular, high Li1+ diffusion coefficient (2.0Ã10â10Â cm2/s) and a significant optical modulation (50-60% in the range 500-750Â nm) are achieved for the composite films. The improved electrochromic properties are mainly attributed to the porous space among the nanorods array, which makes the ion diffusion become easier. And it also gives larger surface area for charge-transfer reactions. The data presents great promise for the MoO3-TiO2 composite film as practical electrochromic materials.
