Abstract
A nano/ultrafine lamellar structure with micrometer-sized equiaxed grains has been produced in TiZr-based multicomponent alloys via severe plastic deformation followed by thermal annealing. The dual-morphology hierarchical structured TiZr shows a high ultimate tensile strength ÏUTS~1500 MPa and a large plastic strain εf~7.2%, demonstrating a good combination of high strength and ductility. The large ductility mostly results from both the nano/ultrafine lamellar structure and coarse grains that contribute to enhanced strain hardening.
