Abstract
This article is concerned with the relaxed Saint-Venant’s problem in the case when the body forces and surface tractions on the lateral surface are polynomials in the axial coordinate. A new method of solving this problem is presented. The method is applied to study the problem of a uniformly loaded cylinder.
