Abstract
Network structured Sn-C composites were fabricated by combining electrochemical deposition and electrophoretic deposition (EPD). The porous dendritic Sn foams were prepared by electrodeposition on copper foil, and carbon nanoparticles were deposited on the Sn foams by EPD. The carbon content of composites was controlled by changing the EPD time and the concentration of sulfuric acid in electrolyte, and it increased up to ~35Â wt%. The combined electrochemical techniques are expected to be applicable to various porous metal foams and carbon nanomaterials to improve the functionality in a wide range of applications.
