Abstract
► Bioglass-based scaffolds are prepared via counterionic biopolymer assembly technique. ► Porous scaffolds exhibit excellent strength with increasing the cycles of assembly. ► The stress-strain response is high strain tolerance for the scaffolds in wet state. ► Soaking in SBF does not cause catastrophic failure in mechanical stability.
