Abstract
⺠Hollow core-shell MoO2 microspheres were synthesized by a template-free approach. ⺠The formation mechanism for the hollow core-shell MoO2 microspheres was proposed. ⺠The MoO2 microspheres showed higher lithium ion storage capacity than bulk MoO2.
