Abstract
A Ni-Re diffusion barrier prepared between Ni-Al coating and steel matrix effectively blocks interdiffusion and restrains the formation of diffusion zone. The superior barrier effect of the Ni-Re film is also effective in resisting carbon attack in the carburizing experiment.257
