Abstract
⺠Delamination crack growth in a thermal barrier coating was modelled. ⺠Modelling of crack area, multiple cracks and crack initiation at different times. ⺠Position of cracks to each other and their spatial distribution were considered. ⺠Key features of delamination crack growth are met properly by the model approach. ⺠The model captures scatter and displays discontinuous delamination crack growth.
