Abstract
► Delamination crack growth in a thermal barrier coating was modelled. ► Modelling of crack area, multiple cracks and crack initiation at different times. ► Position of cracks to each other and their spatial distribution were considered. ► Key features of delamination crack growth are met properly by the model approach. ► The model captures scatter and displays discontinuous delamination crack growth.
