Abstract
⺠The coatings are produced on pure tantalum by micro-arc oxidation. ⺠The coatings are porous and can tightly bond to the substrates. ⺠The growth of the coatings exhibits outward-inward growth characteristics. ⺠Similar outward-inward growth characteristics exist with different applied voltages.
