Abstract
⺠EB-PVD TBCs show excellent adherence to γ-TiAl alloys with fluorine treatment. ⺠Cyclic exposure tests at 900 °C revealed excellent adhesion of the TBCs. ⺠The halogen effect provides a new type of bond coat for EB-PVD TBC systems on γ-TiAl.
