Abstract
► Natural hydroxyapatite has been electrophoretically deposited on NiTi substrate. ► Effect of the applied voltage on the quality of HA coating on NiTi has been studied. ► After sintering, HA is stable on NiTi and it only partially decomposes into TCP. ► After immersion in SBF for 7 days, HA coating could induce the apatite formation. ► During sintering, diffusion across the interface results in chemical bonding.
