Abstract
⺠Carbon steel is surface engineered by Zn-CeO2 composite coating. ⺠Effect of CTAB on CeO2 incorporation and corrosion is studied. ⺠Effect of CeO2 on HERs and Zn electrodeposition is evaluated with and without CTAB. ⺠Corrosion resistance of Zn-CeO2 is very high compared to bare zinc. ⺠Overall electrochemical survey on deposition and process of corrosion in 3.5 wt.% NaCl
