Abstract
⺠A valid growth kinetics model for coatings in TRD process was constructed. ⺠Influences of substrate composition on coating growth were discussed. ⺠Relationship between coating thickness and carbon activity follows a parabolic law. ⺠Novelty conclusion that grain boundary diffusion dominated coating growth is drawn.
